<p>On Sunday the 20th February successfully ended in Milan the 2011 edition of BIT, the International Stock Exchange for Tourism. Again this year around 100 thousand people took part to the event, and other participants attended the events of Fuori BIT, the Outside BIT, a wide range of events organized all around the city.</p>
<p>13 thousand stands were welcome in the two main expos: Bit Buy Italy,  a meeting place for the best Italian touristic offers and a selection of international buyers; and the Bit Buy Club, the first European meeting dedicated to associative tourism.</p>
<p>Silvia Godelli, Tourism Councillor of the Apulia Region, satisfied declares: “The extraordinary success of the Apulia Region in Milan concurs with the great achievements in terms of tourist flows. This promotes, especially abroad, life in Apulia, is land, the multiplicity of its offer and its tourist attractions”.</p>
<p>This year an increase of 4% of arrivals in Apulia is expected.</p>

It is an unquestionable item emerging from the great success of the BIT, the International Tourism Exchange in Milan. Opposing trend with the fall of tourism in the whole Italy because of the economical crisis, tourism blows up in Salento and Apulia. As when you experience Salento, you fall in love with it and you cannot help it.</p>
<p>Salento astonishes for its landscape and architectural beauties; it charms for its sea, its cities of art and its small villages rich in hidden treasures, history, culture and folk; it amazes for its old traditions, making discover the rural and seaside culture of this wonderful land; it touches for its gastronomic delicacies. Salento becomes a travel experience, a real “object of desire” for many tourists do not still know it and it is on the top of the list of destinations to visit. Lecce, the Salentine capital, the Baroque style city, has been declared by Tripadvisor, the biggest community of travellers, the most beautiful town in Apulia, loved by most of tourists for its wonderful architectural beauties and its particular attraction enchanting lots of travellers which choose it like travel destination.</p>
<p>Aimed destination, the Salento area, emphasizing services and tourist facilities, working in a synergetic way together with all operators involved in order to create a single welcoming, hospitality and living fine philosophy, labelled “made in Salento”.
